What It Takes To Succeed With BizCallingCards
A young boy is talking with God. He's the smart, curious type. He says, "Hey God, how long is a million years to you?" God looks down at the boy and says with the force of an earthquake, "A million years to me is like a second to you!"
The boy then says to The Almighty, "God, how much is a million dollars to you?" God replies in a thunder, "A million dollars to me is like a penny to you!"
The boy thinks for a second and says, "Hey God... do you think you could spare one of those pennies?"
God smiles and replies, "Sure ... just a second."
Ready for the truth Can You Take The Truth
You can have everything you desire, you just can't have it right now. The key to success is to know that it doesn't happen overnight. It never has and never will. The very nature of success is that it requires nurturing, cultivation, and growth.
Do this. In your journal write down something you are an expert at ... something that you are better at than most people in the world. If you are an expert at your job, write that down. If you are a great parent or a great spouse, write that down. It might even be something as esoteric as a unique hobby or talent. Whatever it is, write it down.
Now, next to your expertise, write down how long it took you to get to that level of mastery. To become a nurse takes a few years, but how long will it take a nurse to become excellent at it? You can become a real estate agent in a month, but how long until you are in the top 10%? I bet that it takes 4-5 years and probably closer to 10. The point is that if you spend the time and effort, it might pay off in 5-10 years.
So why then, do you suppose people expect to make $10,000 per month in their first three months in network marketing? Or why do they pay attention to all those people and programs who tell them that it's possible for them? There is no free lunch. Get rich quick claims are really just get rich quick schemes that leave rubble and debris in their wake. You reap what you sow.
Think about it
You can't plant in the Spring and harvest the same Spring. You have to nurture and cultivate your business through Summer and harvest in the Fall. Business, like nature, has it's cycles. It takes time.
If you've just joined network marketing it might take you 2-3-5 years to build a six-figure income. Some of you will do it quicker, but that's because you've already done the personal development work, developed the networking skills and become a real leader before you joined network marketing. Some of you are developing those skills along the way.
Beware of the people and/or program who claim you can make big money fast without working hard. We don't know of one single program in the world where that was possible without people eventually losing more than that in time, confidence and integrity.
If you feel your business is not growing as fast as you would like: you are probably growing faster than anyone, you just can't see it yet. It's like the seed in the ground. Most of it's growth is under ground. The plant doesn't sprout until it's root system has developed. Keep working, keep learning, keep teaching and you will grow very strong roots.
Is it worth it
This is what it takes to be successful in network marketing. And if you're not sure if it's worth it, ask yourself this, "What did the last five years bring you?" If in 24-36 months you are making just $5,000 - $10,000 per month PASSIVE RESIDUAL income, would that upset you? Would it improve your life in any way?
Passive residual income is the equivalent of freedom. It's your dream come true. It's everything you could ever want and more.
Time Freedom + Wealth = Control.
Most people we know have extra time but not enough money to enjoy it! Others we know earn a sizable income but have no time to enjoy it. Those of us who have both time and money are really in control of our lives.
We choose where we want to live, where we want to work, when we want to work, and with whom we want to work. We are not slaves to the alarm clock or the boss. We do not live paycheck to paycheck as slaves to a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke.)
